OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE: FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS

I needed to try something different. Something to shake up my creativity and ease me out of an ebb within the ebb and flow of artistic life. A good friend of mine, Lisa, does amazing beading and I am fascinated with her work. I have been thinking that having to follow directions and a pattern might just be what I need. We attended the Bead and Button show in Milwaukee and I picked up to beading kits. The first one is this Beaded Pendulum from Bead Haven. After several tries, I finally figured out that working in the round and not flat is the key to creating this piece.

I finished the Beaded Pendulum and felt it needed more. I looking through my stash and found the perfect finishing touches.

The large rectangular piece is a collaged bezel from Ice Resin. I created it during a workshop with

Susan Lenart Kazmer.
